Hi I’m Fi, and I am excited to share my apprenticeship journey with you…
I embarked on my finance journey while pursuing my AAT qualification through distance learning, where I found satisfaction in gaining a broader perspective of the Finance Function.
I eagerly pursued full qualification and began my studies for the CIMA professional certification. Following the completion of my initial exam, I took a break to start a family.
After returning to work I wanted to recommence my studies, and realised that an apprenticeship scheme would provide the unique opportunity of learning/studying whilst on the job.
I hadn’t initially looked into apprenticeship schemes before I assumed they were for people at the very start of their careers, but having discovered this wasn’t true, I was really keen to go down this route and Finance with Flow provided me with the chance to pursue this.
Roll forward to January 2024, and my apprenticeship begins at Finance with Flow!
Being an apprentice has enabled me to work towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant, but is also developing my professional and leadership skills. The apprenticeship scheme is flexible which allows for some working hours to be devoted to my studies, allowing me to make it work around my family whilst keeping my studies on track.
Once I complete my apprenticeship, I anticipate taking on a higher level role with Finance with Flow as the company grows.
I would absolutely recommend the apprenticeship scheme to others. Having the chance to get qualified and further my learning at the same time as getting real world experience means I am learning all the skills I will need to achieve a successful career in finance.
My journey as an apprentice at Finance with Flow has been a rewarding adventure filled with challenges, growth, and a deep understanding of the outsourced finance landscape and I am looking forward to what the future holds!
